Ramazan Bayrakoğlu

Biography

Ramazan Bayrakoğlu was born in 1966 in Balikesir, Turkey, lives and works in Izmir.

The first fabric work, Doctor, was exhibited in 2005 at “Voices, Growing in the Night” exhibition, curated by Necmi Sönmez, for Borusan art Center’s launch in istanbul.

The first plexiglas work Skips was exhibited Five years after, in 2010, by Dirimart Gallery at armory Show, NY. The same year he made Fire,a plexiglas work of a burning house which was purchased by Istanbul
Modern and is now part of their permanent exhibition.
