Ramazan Bayrakoğlu was born in 1966 in Balıkesir (Turkey) He lives and works in Turkey.

Biography

Ramazan Bayrakoğlu earned a degree in painting in 1989 at Dokuz Eylül University, Izmir, where he still teaches. The first fabric work Doctor was exhibited in 2005 at "Voices, Growing in the Night" exhibition, curated by Necmi Sönmez, for Borusan Art Center’s launch in Istanbul. The first plexiglas work Skips was exhibited 5 years after, in 2010, at Armory Show, NY. The same year he made Fire, a Plexiglas work of a house in fire which was purchased by Istanbul Modern and is now part of their permanent collection.
