Galerie Lelong & Co. Paris is happy to participate in the first edition of Paris+ par Art Basel with a selection of works representative of the gallery’s international program.

The main highlight of our booth will be a large-scale colorful sculpture by Jean Dubuffet (1901-1985) "L’Aléatoire". Galerie Lelong & Co. is proud to present from September 8th 2022 in Paris an exceptional exhibition of Paysages du Val-de-Marne (1975), marking the close collaboration of the gallery with the Dubuffet Foundation.

Galerie Lelong & Co. develops its twenty-two-year-old collaboration with David Hockney (born 1937) now living and working in Normandy. We will present a large and spectacular example of Hockney’s photographic and digital practice. A show with brand new works will be on view at the gallery in Paris in November-December.

One of the most noticeable discoveries of this year’s Venice Biennale in Cecilia Alemani’s « The Milk of Dreams », the Eritrean-born painter Ficre Ghebreyesus (1962-2012), will have his first show at Galerie Lelong & Co. Paris in September-October 2022. A rare, unseen work will be on view on our booth.

A drawing on mylar by Paula Rego (1935-2022) will be the occasion to announce the gallery’s representation in France of the emblematic Portuguese painter who has been living in London most of her life. An exhibition of her prints will be on view at the gallery in November 2022.

The Cameroonian multi-faceted artist Barthélémy Toguo (born 1967) will present a recent work, while at the same time an ambitious installation under the Louvre pyramid of I.M. Pei will be unveiled on October 11th.

Fabienne Verdier (born 1962) has worked on a new series inspired by the Isenheim altarpiece by Grünewald, to be displayed at Unterlinden Museum, Colmar, France from October 2022. One of these new cosmic painting will be on view on the booth.

A rare historical oil painting, from 1964, by Pierre Alechinsky – who will be 95 years old next October – will mark more than forty years of fertile collaboration.
