Biography
Born in Germany, until the age of eight, Ursula von Rydingsvard went from one refugee camp to another with her family. In 1950, they settled in Plainville, Connecticut. Ursula von Rydingsvard would gain a Master of Fine Arts degree from Columbia University in 1975. In 2000, she received the second prize for the best exhibition in a gallery, awarded by the Association Internationale des Critiques d’Art. In 1984, she was the recipient of a Guggenheim fellowship.
